It's great to see a coming-out story filmed in Seattle from the perspective of an immigrant. The scenes from the video store remind me of all of the times I drove to Capitol Hill to rent DVDs when I was in my 20s. While I understand the other reviewer asking for it to focus more on being gay in that area, the 2006 movie Boy Culture captures that well and it is better than this movie captures the story of both the mother and her son.
